Mar 21 Keep "Pink Slime" out of our school cafeterias in Prince George's County (2012)

Briant K. Coleman, M.A., Communications Officer, Office of Communications,  Prince George's County Public Schools, sent me the following statement:
"Prince George's County Public Schools does not serve products containing lean finely textured beef (Pink Slime). We inspect our manufacturers to ensure that they do not use this product."

The USDA just told our local school district that it's up to them whether or not to mix ammonia-treated cow scraps in with the meat served at our school.
