Below are the full SCMAGLEV Alternatives Report (and REVISED MAP) published today, 2018.11.15 AND initial excerpts/comments of concern.

PLEASE familiarize yourself with the Report and submit YOUR COMMENTS Now and Continuingly.
This is the SCMAGLEV's entire revised Alternative Routes Interactive Map http://bwmaglev.info/index.php/web-application

That new map shows revised route J-1 West No Longer transecting Montpelier Hills homes and farther from Sumner Grove homes, but still too close to the trains, some homes within 65 feet.

Surprisingly, the Alternatives Report retains the East and West routes for detailed study in the forthcoming Draft Environmental Impact Study (DEIS), rather than selecting just one of those routes going forward in the DEIS.

See Description of Refined [revised] Alignments (Build Alternatives J and J1) on pages 9-13 of the report.

See page 6: Chapter 5. Agency Coordination and Public Involvement Summary
especially Conclusions and Next Steps page 67
QUOTE:
1. Community Meetings
FRA and MDOT conducted three rounds (five meetings held during each round) of Public Open Houses in mid-December 2016 (Scoping Meeting), April 2017 (Purpose and Need/Initial Alignment Alternatives) and October 2017 (Preliminary Alternatives Screening). FRA and MDOT held the open houses at different locations throughout the project corridor as illustrated in Figure 29. The next round of public engagement will occur when the DEIS is published and FRA holds public hearings.

[GS] in other words, no public open houses are planned for comments on this Alternatives Report, until the DEIS is published in February 2019, only one month before a final "public meeting" in March. See
