After several years of operating as a friendly, family-run dollar store, the Dollar Inn in Crystal Plaza closed on May 31. For business reasons, the owners are consolidating at their Value Dollar Store at 8030 New Hampshire Ave., Langley Park. Before opening the Dollar Inn, they owned and operated the Chin Tao Restaurant in Crystal Plaza for many years, before the Chin Tao was burned out by a fire at Delaney's Irish Pizza Pub in June 2003. They and their long-time investment in South Laurel will be missed.
